Harrison Bergeron Vocabulay

1. Calibrated- check, adjust settings, on instruments used for measurement.

-You. Deckhand. Go calibrate the system controls down on the main floor.

2. Consternation- Sudden, alarming, amazement, resulting in confusion.

After the teacher announced the test the was a great deal or consternation in the room

3. Cower- crouch, recoil, flinch

-All i could do was cower at the sight of the demon standing in the middle of the road right in front of me.

4. Hindrance- stopping, preventing.

-I was hindrancing the nuclear missile firing but i was shot in the process.

5. Luminous- Radiation or reflection light.

-the luminous light of the stars in the sky were absolutely amazing.

6. Symmetry- Equal Proportions

-we use symmetry in math class to find if one side of the triangle is equal to the other side of the triangle.

7. Synchronizing- causing to work or operate at the same time

-At last night's concert the two guitarist were so synchronized i wondered if it was really them playing.

8. Vague- unclear

-The instructions on the board were quite vague. so i was unaware at what we were supposed to be doing.

9. vigilance- watchful, alert, paying attention

-I am very vigilant. i am alway on my toes ready for something to happen.

10. wince- to draw back or tense the body as if experiencing pain.

-When i get scared i wince to prepare myself for the pain that will follow.
